Welcome to Our Community
.
Our team of dedicated volunteers from the NoCo region of NYS is passionate about providing person-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based mental health support in our communities. Our founding group, North Country Region NY Mental Health Support Group, was established in 2021. We have been growing in membership, skills, and possibilities to offer support.
We are eagerly accepting members within St. Lawrence and Jefferson Counties along with surrounding areas. We are a small but ambitious group. With more members, we can build up our abilities to offer more support to our communities. It’s like the old saying “more hands make for lighter work for each person”.
We are here to listen, support, and guide you on your journey towards mental wellness. Your story matters and we are committed to helping you feel empowered and understood.
Your mental health journey is unique, and we are here to ensure you feel heard, valued, and supported every step of the way. Together, we can make a difference in our communities.
We are involved with several mental health supporting agencies. We can offer many peer supported options to people dealing with mental health challenges and their loved ones, offer presentations to schools and community groups focusing on mental health wellness and care subjects, and offer other resources to those who may be struggling with mental health challenges and/or their loved ones.
